The charges came as part of the police investigation into an Aug. 19 brawl outside a bar near the LSU campus that left four people injured. Witnesses said a number of football players were among the combatants.

Head Coach Les Miles said in a written statement the team was cooperating in the probe. "This has weighed on all of us," Miles said. "It is time for us to come together as a team and focus on what we are here to do."
