Rockets' Dwight Howard fined $25K for tossing ball at fan

NEW YORK, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard was slapped with a $25,000 fine Thursday for tossing a ball into the stands in Dallas.

The NBA announced Howard was cited for his actions in the fourth quarter of the Rockets' 123-120 loss to the Mavericks Wednesday.

Howard flipped the ball toward a heckling fan in the incident with 2:54 remaining.

He scored 33 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
