The Wolverines avenged a Jan. 29 loss to the Buckeyes and pulled even with Ohio State for second place in the Big Conference standings.

Michigan State held the conference top spot at 10-3 heading into its Sunday contest against Purdue.

Deshaun Thomas was strong at both ends of the floor with 25 points and 13 rebounds for Ohio State (22-5, 10-4), but it wasn't enough to prevent the Buckeyes from losing for the second time in three games.
