UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Tim Frazier's jumper with 11 seconds left Thursday, followed by Jermaine Marshall's block, gave Penn State a stunning 54-52 win over No. 25 Illinois.
The Fighting Illini, playing for the first time in eight days, trailed for much of the night before tying the contest on Brandon Paul's 3-pointer with 35 seconds to play.
With the shot clock running down, Frazier hit his game-winning basket and Marshall followed by blocking Sam Maniscalco's layup attempt with 2 seconds remaining.
Cammeron Woodyard scored 17 points for the Nittany Lions (10-10, 2-5 Big Ten Conference), who shot 40 percent and held Illinois to 34.
Paul made four 3-pointers and scored 20 points. Illinois fell to 15-4 for the season and to 4-2 in league play.
