
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- Lenzelle Smith Jr. drained four long-range shots en route to 28 points Sunday and fifth-ranked Ohio State dominated No. 8 Indiana 80-63.
Smith connected on 4-of-5 shots from 3-point territory and 10-of-12 overall, scoring 18 in the first half while the Buckeyes' defense was holding Indiana to 27 percent shooting from the field.
Jared Sullinger added 16 points and nine rebounds for the Buckeyes (16-3, 4-2 Big Ten), who avenged a Dec. 31 loss to the Hoosiers.
William Buford netted 12 points and Deshaun Thomas added 11 in the win.
Indiana (15-3, 3-3), which was upset by Minnesota in its last outing, was led by Cody Zeller with 16 points.
Also reaching double figures for the Hoosiers were Christian Watford (13) and Jordan Hulls (11).
