COL BKB: Connecticut 73, NC-Asheville 63

NASSAU, Bahamas, Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Jeremy Lamb and Shabazz Napier combined to score 46 points Thursday, lifting fourth-ranked Connecticut to a 73-63 win over North Carolina-Asheville.

The game was the last of the opening round contests in the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament. Connecticut will play in Friday's semifinals against Central Florida.

The Huskies improved to 5-0, holding on despite turning the ball over 18 times.

Lamb and Napier both scored 23 points and Napier added eight assists. They teamed to make 15-of-27 shots from the field.

Connecticut led by 11 at the half and was unable to expand on that advantage even though the Huskies held North Carolina-Asheville to 41 percent shooting.

Matt Dickey paced the Bulldogs (2-3) with 18 points.
