March 21 (UPI) -- Patti was the biggest star of all during Monday's Dallas Stars game.

During the first intermission of the contest, the service dog and its handler were lowered down from the rafters of the American Airlines Center.

After reaching the ice, former Navy Seal Ryan Parrot presented the service K9 to Cary Flatt, a US Army Special Forces Green Beret. Rebuilding Warriors made the union possible. The 501(c)3 is a non-profit organization with a mission to provide service K9s to honorably discharged veterans.

"Tonight was the biggest presentation we have had to date! We presented a dog to Former Green Beret CWO 3 Cary Flatt," Rebuilding Warriors said on Instagram. "We'd like to thank the @dallasstars for this remarkable opportunity and for recognizing Veterans from all eras of service. I would especially like to thank @ryanbirdmanparrott and Mary Meier of the @birdseyeviewproject for giving us such a tremendous platform to share our message. Thank you all who support us. Cary, welcome to our family!"

The Stars edged the San Jose Sharks 1-0. Patti trained extensively for the stunt.

Service K9 Patti is doing great with her practicing of repelling with @birdseyeviewproject CEO @ryanbirdmanparrott! We are just 3 days away from this big presentation at the @dallasstars intermission where Former Green Beret Carey Flatt will receive Patti! 📸 credit: @alphaknineapp Devonte C., Patti's trainer. Thank you to all involved with this project, and a big shout out to @run5150 Michael LeClair for sponsoring Patti. #gsd #gsdpage #germanshepherd #shepherd #GSD #gsdmalinoislove #ServiceDog #Nonprofit #Veteran #Army #Marines #Navy #AirForce #workingdog Visit our website #woundedVet #puppy #WoundedVeteran #PTSD #Amputee #TBI #battlebuddy #CombatVet #supportveterans #dogsoffreedom #heroes #workingdog #woundedwarrior #warhero #SavingWarriorsOneDogAtATime #RebuildingWarriors
