The Toronto Maple Leafs added reinforcements following the Christmas break on Tuesday by recalling goaltender Antoine Bibeau and forwards Byron Froese and Frederik Gauthier from their American Hockey League affiliate.

Bibeau has posted a 7-7-2 mark with three shutouts, a 2.46 goals-against average and .908 save percentage in 16 games with the AHL's Toronto Marlies. The 22-year-old Quebec native turned aside 26 shots in his NHL debut on Dec. 11, earning the loss in a 3-1 setback against Colorado.

Bibeau could be in line for action as the Maple Leafs begin a back-to-back stretch on Wednesday with a game against the Florida Panthers. Toronto will cap its four-game road trip with a tilt versus the Tampa Bay Lightning the following night.

Froese failed to dent the scoresheet in two contests with the Maple Leafs this season. The 25-year-old Manitoba native has collected 12 goals and five assists in 27 games with the Marlies.

Gauthier, 21, scored and set up a goal in three contests with the Maple Leafs in 2016-17. The 21st overall pick of the 2013 draft has recorded one goal and three assists in 17 games with the Marlies this season.
