The 6-foot-7 Brown took an outlet pass from Celtics guard Terry Rozier with about 7:26 remaining in the second quarter of the contest. He dribbled down the right flank before running into defender Tim Hardaway Jr. Brown did a little hesitation dribble move with his right hand to get Hardaway off balance. He easily beat the first Knicks defender into the paint, only to find the 7-foot-3 Porzingis sliding under the rim.

Porzingis attempted to block the shot with his left hand, but Brown went in strong, slamming the ball through the rim for a powerful right-handed jam.

Marcus Morris led all scorers with 20 points for the Celtics. Terry Rozier posted a triple-double, with 17 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.

"I think we just played with pace. Terry set the pace from the start of the game as to how we were going to play and we just went as he went," Brown told reporters in his postgame comments.
