Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Playing for a Boston team doesn't mean that the Celtics' Jaylen Brown is rooting for the Patriots.
In fact, the Boston Celtics' swingman wants the Jacksonville Jaguars to win Sunday's AFC Championship game at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. He also wants a certain Jaguars defender to have great success against Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
Brown is cousins with Jaguars defensive back A.J. Bouye.
"Absolutely [I will watch]," Brown told reporters Thursday, according to NBC Sports Boston. "I will have my Jaguars jersey on when I do it. Good luck to the Patriots, but I hope my cousin picks off Brady three times and takes it to the house."
"So expect me to come to the game on Sunday with my A.J. Bouye jersey on."
Brown scored 12 points in the Celtics' 89-80 loss Thursday to the Philadelphia 76ers at TD Garden in Boston.
The Celtics host the Orlando Magic at 1 p.m. Sunday, while the Patriots game kicks off at 3:05 p.m. nearly 30 miles from the Celtics' home court.

Brown, 21, went to Wheeler High School in Mariette, Ga., while Bouye went to Tucker High School in the same state. Both schools are just north of Atlanta. Bouye was voted to his first Pro Bowl this season.
