LSU F Craig Victor dismissed from team

LSU junior forward Craig Victor II was dismissed from the team on Thursday for violating team rules, the school announced.

The Tigers announced the dismissal approximately three hours before their SEC opener against Vanderbilt.

"We are obviously disappointed that we had to take this action," LSU coach Johnny Jones said in a statement. "It's a privilege and an honor to wear the LSU uniform. When you commit to being part of our basketball program, there are expectations and standards that we demand from our players. Those expectations go beyond the basketball court."

Victor earlier missed the first three games of the season due to a suspension. He was averaging 10.5 points and 7.6 rebounds.

Victor was in his second season with the Tigers after transferring from Arizona.
