COL BKB: Wichita State 65, Indiana State 58

TERRE HAUTE, Ind., Feb. 5 (UPI) -- Cleanthony Early brought Wichita State back from a nine-point deficit Wednesday and the second-ranked Shockers stayed unbeaten by downing Indiana State 65-58.

Wichita State survived the trip to Terre Haute to win its 24th game in as many tries this season. The road tilt was expected to be the Shockers' toughest conference test of the campaign and they cannot set their sights on an unbeaten regular season.

No. 1 Syracuse is the only other unbeaten team in the country.

The Shockers are 11-0 in the Missouri Valley Conference and defeated a team that had not lost at home this year.

Early scored 19 points while Tekele Cotton added 14.

Wichita State had only a two-point lead when Early converted a 3-point play with 1:03 remaining. Chadrack Lufile it 4-of-6 free throws over the final 43 seconds to protect the advantage.

Manny Arop had 16 points for Indiana State (17-6, 8-3 MVC).
