ATHENS, Ohio, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- A big game off the bench from Maxie Esho Wednesday helped No. 20 Massachusetts remain unbeaten with an 83-71 decision over Ohio.
The Minutemen built a 19-point lead heading into the final three minutes on their way to their 10th win in as many tries this season.

Esho made 6-of-7 shots from the field, scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Massachusetts shot 60 percent from the field and went 9-of-14 from 3-point range.
Sampson Carter added 14 points for the Minutemen and Derrick Gordon had 13.
Ohio (7-3) was led by Maurice Ndour with 16 points and six rebounds. The Bobcats put up 23 attempts from beyond the arc and made just five of them.
