COL BKB: Iowa 98, Notre Dame 93

IOWA CITY, Iowa, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Aaron White scored 20 points Tuesday for No. 24 Iowa in its 98-93 win over Notre Dame in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

White also had seven rebounds for the Hawkeyes (8-1), who held off a determined challenge from the Irish (5-2), who scored 50 points in the second half and trailed by three points with 40 seconds to play in the game.

Roy Devyn Marble and Jarrod Uthoff both scored 17 for Iowa. Marble scored 13 consecutive points for the Hawkeyes during a second-half run.

Garrick Sherman led Notre Dame with 29 points and nine rebounds. Eric Atkins added 23 and Jerain Grant notched a double-double of 13 points and 10 assists.
