COL BKB: Dayton 84, Gonzaga 79

LAHAINA, Hawaii, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Jordan Sibert sank five 3-pointers on this way to 23 points Monday and Dayton staged a big comeback to upset No. 10 Gonzaga 84-79 at the Maui Invitational.

Sibert's trey with 1:02 remaining gave the Flyers (5-0) a 78-72 lead and Dayton held off a final push by the Gonzaga to secure the surprising victory.

The Flyers were down by as many 16 points in the first half but exploded for 56 second-half points to pull out the win in the first round of the Hawaii tournament.

Dyshawn Pierre scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

Devin Oliver added 12 points and Khari Price provided 11 for the Flyers, who next face No. 17 Baylor.

Kevin Pangos pumped in 27 points before fouling out for the Bulldogs (4-1). Sam Dower contributed 18 points and seven rebounds.
