Louisville's Kevin Ware settles speeding charge in court

GLASGOW, Ky., Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Louisville basketball player Kevin Ware will pay $268 in fines and court costs after his plea deal on speeding and reckless driving charges, court records said.

After meeting with prosecutors Monday at Barren County Courthouse in Glasgow, Ky., Ware spoke with Judge John Alexander, The (Louisville) Courier-Journal reported.

"I definitely should have been smarter about the situation," Ware said.

Ware was cited for traveling 95 mph through a highway construction zone in a borrowed car on Oct. 26.
