COL BKB: Atlantic 10 Tournament Roundup

NEW YORK, March 16 (UPI) -- The 22nd-ranked Virginia Commonwealth Rams will seek their first Atlantic 10 Conference crown after they and No. 16 Saint Louis each logged a win Saturday.

VCU, competing in the Atlantic 10 for the first time this season after coming over from the Colonial Athletic Association, advanced to Sunday's conference tournament championship game with a 71-62 semifinal win over Massachusetts.

Juvonte Reddic's double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds paced the Rams (26-7), who notched their fifth win six games.

Troy Daniels also played a big role for VCU with 20 points.

The Minutemen (21-11) got 18 points from Chaz Williams.

VCU's opponent in the final will be the Billikens (26-6), who reeled off their 14th win in 15 games with a 67-56 decision over Butler in the day's first semifinal.

Dwayne Evans finished with 24 points and 11 rebounds while Cody Ellis chipped in 13 points for the victors.

Rotnei Clarke led the Bulldogs (26-8) with 16 points.
