COL BKB: Kansas 68, Temple 62

LAWRENCE, Kan., Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Kevin Young's double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds Sunday helped sixth-ranked Kansas hold off upset-minded Temple 68-62.

The Jayhawks (12-1) also got 14 points from Travis Releford and 13 points and six rounds from freshman Ben McLemore as they reeled off their 11th straight win.

Elijah Johnson (nine points, nine assists) and Jeff Withey (eight, 11 rebounds, nine blocks) also were crucial in lifting Kansas to its 30th consecutive home victory.

Temple (10-3), seeking its second win over a Top 10 program this season, came up short despite 26 points and six rebounds from Khalif Wyatt.

Will Cummings and Anthony Lee also reached double figures with 11 points apiece for the Owls.
