COL BKB: Indiana 69, Iowa 65

IOWA CITY, Iowa, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Cody Zeller's double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds Monday powered No. 5 Indiana past Iowa 69-65 in the Big Ten Conference opener for both schools.

Zeller connected on 7-of-12 shots from the field and Victor Oladipo added 14 points and 10 boards as Indiana (13-1, 1-0 Big Ten) snapped a four-game losing streak at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Will Sheehey gave the Hoosiers a boost off the bench with 13 points and five rebounds while Christian Watford contributed 11 and eight in the victory.

The Hawkeyes (11-3, 0-1) got 15 points and six rebounds from Aaron White but it wasn't enough to keep their six-game winning streak from being snapped.

Roy Devyn Marble added 14 points and nine rebounds and Mike Gesell supplied 13 points for Iowa.
