Half of the NIT's semifinal teams will come from the Pac-12, which was awarded only two berths in the NCAA Tournament and which posted a 1-2 record in that event. Washington will face Minnesota in the other semifinal.

Stanford (24-9) rolled to a 42-24 halftime lead and coasted from there while making 53 percent of its field goal attempts and going 8-of-14 from 3-point range. The Cardinal came up with 33 bench points and produced 21 points off 15 Wolf Pack turnovers.

Malik Story scored 14 points to lead Nevada (28-7), which won the Western Athletic Conference regular-season title and then lost to Louisiana Tech in the league's semifinals.
