KNOXVILLE, Tenn., March 13 (UPI) -- Jarnell Stokes scored 13 points and Trae Golden added 11 for Tennessee Tuesday, sparking its 65-51 National Invitational Tournament win over Savannah State.
The Volunteers (19-14) got 10 points each from Yemi Makanjuola and Josh Richardson in the first-round victory.

Top-seeded Tennessee advances to face Middle Tennessee State, which defeated Marshall Tuesday.
Rashad Hassan paced No. 8 Savannah State (21-11) with 20 points and 14 rebounds.
