COL BKB: North Carolina 88, Maryland 64

CHAPEL HILL, N.C., Feb. 29 (UPI) -- Tyler Zeller made 20 free throws Wednesday to help break the game open and bring No. 6 North Carolina an 88-64 victory over Maryland.

The Tar Heels put together a 19-0 run in the second half while setting up a battle for the Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season title Saturday against rival Duke.

Both North Carolina and the Blue Devils will take a 26-4 record into their meeting in Durham and they are tied at the top of the conference with 13-2 records. Duke won its other game with North Carolina on a last-second shot.

Zeller scored 30 points and made 20-of-23 from the line. John Henson contributed 19 points and nine rebounds for the Tar Heels and Reggie Bullock had 12. North Carolina shot only 40 percent from the field, but forced 17 turnovers.

Maryland (16-13, 6-9) was led by Nick Faust with 17 points.
