COL BKB: Duke 74, Florida State 66

TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Feb. 23 (UPI) -- Andre Dawkins and Austin Rivers teamed to make 10 3-point shots Thursday and the long-range effort carried No. 4 Duke to a 74-66 win over No. 16 Florida State.

The Blue Devils moved into a share of the Atlantic Coast Conference lead with North Carolina despite making only nine 2-point shots for the entire game. Duke hit 13 overall from 3-point range and avenged a 76-73 home loss to the Seminoles on Jan. 21.

Duke and Florida State began the night tied for second place in the league race. Duke won for the eighth time in nine games while Florida State suffered only its second setback in 12 outings.

Florida State trailed by three with 4:18 to play but Duke's Seth Curry hit a 3-pointer and soon followed with two free throws. The Seminoles came no closer than five the rest of the way.

Dawkins scored 22 points, hitting six 3-point shots. Rivers had 20 points with four long-range baskets.

The Blue Devils (24-4, 11-2 ACC) made 13-of-28 from beyond the arc and were 9-of-24 from inside the 3-point line.

Michael Snaer led Florida State (19-8, 10-3) with 18 points.

Duke will host North Carolina in their regular-season finale March 3.
