PISCATAWAY, N.J., Feb. 19 (UPI) -- C.J. Fair netted 21 points and Scoop Jardine added 17 Sunday, propelling second-ranked Syracuse to its seventh straight win, 74-64 over Rutgers.
Kris Joseph provided 14 points and Fab Melo contributed an all-around game with 10 points, six rebounds and a pair of blocks for the Orange (27-1, 14-1 Big East).

Syracuse shot 50 percent from the field took 31 foul shots compared to 11 for Rutgers.
The Scarlet Knights (12-15, 4-10) lost their fifth straight despite 21 points and seven rebounds from Gilvydas Biruta.
