COL BKB: Notre Dame 76, Marquette 59

SOUTH BEND, Ind., Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Pat Connaughton pumped in 23 points and Eric Atkins added 18 Saturday in Notre Dame's 76-59 victory over 15th-ranked Marquette.

Connaughton was deadly from outside, netting five 3-pointers, and Jerian Grant contributed 12 points as the Fighting Irish (15-8, 7-3 Big East) bested their third ranked opponent in four games.

Notre Dame has also downed then-unbeaten and No. 1 Syracuse and Connecticut as part of an overall four-game winning streak.

The Irish remained hot from long range Saturday, canning 11-of-23 from 3-point territory.

The Eagles (19-5, 8-3) were led by Darius Johnson-Odom and Vander Blue with 12 points each.
