COL BKB: Marquette 82, Villanova 78

VILLANOVA, Pa., Jan. 28 (UPI) -- The No. 18 Marquette Warriors rallied from 18 points down to knock off Villanova 82-78 Saturday and win their sixth game in a row.

Darius Johnson-Odom led Marquette (18-4, 7-2 Big East) with 26 points, and Jae Crowder contributed 20 points and a dozen rebounds.

Johnson-Odom and Vander Blue were both 5-of-6 from the line as the Warriors made a weighty 25-of-32 free throws. Villanova (10-12, 3-7) hit 20-of-25 free throws in a game that saw four of five Wildcats starters in foul trouble.

JayVaughn Pinkston led Villanova with 17 points and five rebounds. Maurice Sutton added 11 points and 10 boards.

The Wildcats led 46-36 at halftime, but Marquette tied it 55-55 on Crowder's 3-point jumper with 12:21 to play and then grabbed the lead with 11:39 to play on Jamil Wilson's layup off an offensive rebound.
