COL BKB: San Diego State 52, Wyoming 42

LARAMIE, Wyo., Jan. 24 (UPI) -- Steve Fisher notched his 250th career coaching victory Tuesday when his 12th-ranked San Diego State Aztecs knocked off Wyoming 52-42.

Chase Tapley and Jamaal Franklin both scored 12 points for the Aztecs (18-2, 4-0 WAC), who won their 11th consecutive games despite arriving in Laramie just 7 hours before tipoff due to travel delays.

The Aztecs have not allowed an opponent to score more than 70 points during their winning streak.

Leonard Washington scored 12 points and had eight rebounds to lead Wyoming (16-4, 2-2). The Cowboys shot 30.6 percent from the field.

Washington scored 10 of his points in the first half, which ended with the Cowboys down 25-22.

San Diego State began the second half on a 16-4 run to take control of the game. James Rahon had seven points during the surge, and the Aztecs held a 41-26 advantage with 12:15 to play.
