COL BKB: Marquette 74, Louisville 63

MILWAUKEE, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Marquette's Darius Johnson-Odom drained three long-range shots en route to 19 points Monday and the 22nd-ranked Golden Eagles bested No. 21 Louisville 74-63.

Johnson-Odom went 7-of-19 from the field and grabbed four rebounds for the Golden Eagles (15-4, 4-2 Big East), who competed a sweep of a three-game conference homestand.

Davante Gardner contributed 17 points and six rebounds, while Jae Crowder added 14 and 11 for the winners.

Marquette pulled away after allowing Louisville to creep within two points on a Chris Smith 3-pointer with 10:58 left in the game.

The Cardinals (14-5, 2-4) lost despite 20 points from Russ Smith. Chane Behanan contributed 10 point and 12 rebounds for the losers.
