COL BKB: Wisconsin 79, Miss. Valley St. 45

MADISON, Wis., Dec. 23 (UPI) -- Jordan Taylor scored six of his 17 points during an early run Friday that sent No. 14 Wisconsin rolling to a 79-45 crushing of Mississippi Valley.

The Badgers produced 17 consecutive points after Mississippi Valley had scored the opening basket of the game and breezed to their fifth straight victory.

Wisconsin (11-2) begins play in the Big Ten Conference Tuesday at Nebraska.

Taylor made 5-of-9 shots from the field as part of a 50 percent Wisconsin shooting performance. Jared Berggren added 15 points and Josh Gasser had 11.

The Delta Devils made just 14-of-48 of their field goal attempts while losing their sixth straight.

Paul Crosby and Terrence Joyner both had 14 points for Mississippi Valley (1-10).
