CHICAGO, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Nevada-Las Vegas' Mike Moser scored 17 points Saturday and the Rebels used a tough defense to upset previously undefeated No. 19 Illinois 64-48.

Moser hauled down 11 rebounds and UNLV (11-2) blocked nine shots, holding Illinois to a paltry 25.4 shooting from the field in the Rebels' victory at the United Center in Chicago.

Chace Stanback, UNLV's leading scorer, was held to only two points but Quintrell Thomas chipped in 13 as the Rebels posted their second straight win.

D.J. Richardson had 19 points but no one else reached double figures for the Illini (10-1).
