CINCINNATI, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Mark Lyons and Tu Holloway combined for 36 points Saturday, sparking No. 8 Xavier over Cincinnati 76-53 in a brawl-marred non-conference contest.

Lyons netted 19 points while Holloway contributed 17 and six assists for the Musketeers (8-0), who remained unbeaten and won an eighth straight to start the season for the first time since 2008-09.

The game was marked a benches-clearing melee with 10 seconds remaining in the contest. Game officials were forced to end the game at that point.

The Bearcats (5-3) were led by Yancy Gates with a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds.
