COL BKB: Xavier 66, Miami (Ohio) 60

CINCINNATI, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Mark Lyons helped Xavier ease in front down the stretch Friday and the No. 14 Musketeers held on to beat Miami (Ohio) 66-60.

Miami owned a two-point halftime lead and Xavier did not take the lead for good until Tu Holloway put them in front at 46-44 with 11:05 to play.

Xavier led by only four heading into the final minute, but four free throws in the closing seconds by Lyons kept the Musketeers unbeaten in three games this season.

Lyons finished with 18 points and Kenny Frease added 13 to go with seven rebounds.

The RedHawks (1-1) got 21 points from Bill Edwards.
