MY VH1 MUSIC AWARDS

Eric McCormack of the NBC sitcom "Will & Grace" will host the "My VH1 Music Awards '01," which will air live on VH1 on Dec. 2 (at 9 p.m. ET/PT).

Jewel and Mary J. Blige have been added to the line-up of artists who'll perform during the show at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Also slated to take the stage -- Mick Jagger, Creed, Sting, Nelly Furtado, Lenny Kravitz, Destiny's Child and No Doubt.

"My VH1 Music Awards '01" is a fully interactive awards show that allows fans to vote online for the winners (on VH1.com) up until the last moment before the awards are presented.

U2 and Dave Matthews Bands are tied for the lead with six nominations each, followed by Gwen Stefani with five. Staind and Alicia Keys have four nominations, followed by Bon Jovi, Moby, Train, and the Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mya & Pink collaboration for "Lady Marmelade" who all received three nominations each. Categories include "My Favorite Group," "Best Actor in a Video" and "Must Have Album," as well as "Damn I Wish I Wrote That," "Navel Academy," "Is It Hot in Here, Or Is It Just My Video?" and "Big in Japan (International Award)," among others.

'THE CONCERT FOR NEW YORK CITY': THE ALBUM

Last month's "Concert For New York City" at Madison Square Garden is being released as a 2-CD collection (on Columbia Records). The album hits stores next Tuesday, Nov. 27. DVD and VHS versions will be available thereafter.

"The Concert For New York City" set the record as Madison Square Garden's highest grossing event ever, and VH1 scored the highest ratings in the network's history when the benefit concert aired live from 7:00 p.m. to 12:45 a.m. (ET) on Oct. 20.

MICK JAGGER

Rolling Stone frontman Mick Jagger has relaunched his official Web site, MICKJAGGER.COM, to coincide with the release of his new solo album "Goddess in the Doorway," due in stores Tuesday (on Virgin Records).

Highlights include:

-- "Goddess in the Doorway" preview jukebox featuring clips from the album;

-- The full-length streamed video for the new Mark Romanek-directed video for "God Gave Me Everything;"

-- Lyrics from the new album plus audio of Mick talking about the new songs track by track;

-- Video clips from the upcoming ABC-TV documentary, "Being Mick," which airs Thursday. The trailers include Mick and Lenny Kravitz working on "God Gave Me Everything" in Miami, and Mick and Pete Townshend in a studio in London, plus a host of never-before-seen interview and behind-the-scenes footage;

KISS

"KISS: The Box Set" is due in stores Tuesday.

"KISS: The Box Set" features six hours of digitally re-mastered recordings on five CDs, with 94 tracks. In addition to the band's classic numbers -- "Rock and Roll All Nite," "Deuce," "Detroit Rock City," "Love Gun" and "Beth" -- it includes previously unreleased band and solo demos, outtakes and live recordings.

The band is currently in the midst of a farewell concert tour.


SMASH MOUTH, FIVE FOR FIGHTING

Five For Fighting and Smash Mouth are the featured artists for Music Choice's December concert series.

The show featuring John Ondrasik and his band, Five For Fighting, will air between Nov. 26 and Dec. 2. (Check musicchoice.com or your local cable company for specific times.) It was recorded live at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood on Oct. 22.

"America Town," the group's debut album on Aware/Columbia Records, was recently certified "gold."

Smash Mouth's concert, which airs later next month, was filmed Oct. 25 at the Fillmore in San Francisco. The band performs a number of its hit songs including "All Star," "Walkin' on the Sun" and "Force Field" off their new self-titled album. That CD -- the band's third album -- is due in stores Nov. 27. The first single is "Pacific Coast Party."

P.O.D.

P.O.D. takes the main stage at Warner Bros. Online's site, warnerbros.com, offering fans a behind-the-scenes look at a rehearsal performance from the band's "Youth Of The Nation" tour.

The multi-camera shoot was captured for Warner Bros. Online at the House of Blues in Las Vegas. P.O.D. plays hits from their latest CD, "Satellite," which was certified platinum just one month after its release.

Meanwhile, the members of the band will sign autographs of their new album Nov. 26 (at 4:30 p.m. CST) at Sam Goody Central at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn.
