ManTech gets DARPA support contract

FAIRFAX, Va., Jan. 10 (UPI) -- ManTech International of Virginia has been tapped for scientific engineering and administrative support to the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Project Agency.

The services to DARPA's Tactical Technology Office were contracted by the U.S. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic and are worth a maximum total $150 million for all four awardees of the three-year, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

"ManTech is a trusted and longstanding supporter of DARPA," said Terry Ryan, president and chief operating officer of ManTech's Systems Engineering and Advanced Technology Group. "We fully appreciate the importance of DARPA's mission to our national security and look forward to continuing our mission-critical support."

ManTech said it will give DARPA integrated systems engineering, technical analysis and program management for development of a variety of technologies, including weapons systems, platforms and space systems.

Additional details were not provided.

DARPA, established in 1958, is the Department of Defense's lead organization for development of new technologies.
