COLNBROOK, England, April 12 (UPI) -- A son of the late Ugandan dictator Idi Amin has been charged in Britain with taking part in a beating at an immigration center, authorities say.

Faisal Wangita, 28, was just hours from deportation when he and seven other men allegedly attacked another deportee at Colnbrook near Heathrow Airport, The Sun reported Monday.

The victim, a 23-year-old South American who was hospitalized with multiple injuries for three nights, will remain in Britain to testify against his alleged assailants, the British tabloid said.

The other alleged attackers were identified as Adelson De Oliveira, 23, Julio Odjoma, 27, Robert Williams, 25, Omar Haji-Ali, 30, Ahmed Musse, 27, Steven Kadima, 22, and Marc Deborge, 33.

The eight suspects are to appear in Isleworth Crown Court May 18.

Wangita is thought to be the 43rd child of Amin, whose brutal regime left as many as 400,000 Ugandans dead between 1971 and 1979.
