D.A. to seek death for Scott Peterson

MODESTO, Calif., April 25 (UPI) -- Prosecutors will seek the death penalty against Scott Peterson if the Modesto salesman is convicted of murdering his wife, Laci, and the couple's unborn child. The Stanislaus County district attorney made the announcement Friday afternoon after meeting with members of his staff and Laci Peterson's parents.
