St. Louis Blues claim F Ty Rattie off waivers

The St. Louis Blues claimed forward Ty Rattie off waivers from the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday.

Rattie, 24, returns to the Blues after being placed on waivers Saturday. He will report to the Chicago Wolves, the Blues' American Hockey League affiliate.

Rattie, who was first claimed off waivers by the Hurricanes from the Blues on Jan. 4, appeared in five games and posted two assists during his stint in Carolina.

The 6-foot, 185-pound Rattie owns 10 points (four goals, six assists) and six penalty minutes in 35 career NHL games with the Blues and Hurricanes. The Airdrie, Alberta, native also has 137 points (69 goals, 68 assists) and 77 penalty minutes in 196 career AHL games.

Rattie was originally drafted by the Blues in the second round (32nd overall) in 2011.
