Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews leaves with unspecified injury

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews missed the third period of Wednesday's game due to an unspecified injury.

Toews skated three shifts and logged 1:32 of ice time in the second period before exiting. All told, Toews logged 9:15 of time spread over a dozen shifts in the game.

Toews is the team's sixth leading scorer with four goals and eight assists for 12 points.
