WICHITA, Kan., Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Ron Baker and Fred VanVleet combined for 31 points Saturday and No. 5 Wichita State remained unbeaten with a 68-48 verdict over Indiana State.

Baker scored 16 points and VanVleet added 15 for the Shockers (19-0, 6-0 MVC), who used a tough defense to limit their Missouri Valley Conference foes to 31.4 percent shooting from the field.

Chadrack Lufile (10 points, 11 rebounds) and Darius Carter (10 points off the bench) also reached double figures.

The Sycamores (14-4, 5-1) got 19 points from Dawon Cummings.
