COL BKB: Creighton 95, Xavier 89

OMAHA, Jan. 12 (UPI) -- Doug McDermott pumped in 35 points on 13-of-24 shooting Sunday, sparking No. 23 Creighton over Xavier 95-89.

Ethan Wragge added 15 points and Devin Brooks supplied 14 for the Bluejays (14-2, 4-0 Big East), who racked up a ninth consecutive victory.

Creighton cleaned up at the free throw line, sinking 17-of-24 attempts en route to the win.

Austin Chatman netted 12 points and Jahenns Manigat put in 11 for the Bluejays.

The Musketeers (13-4, 3-1) were paced by Semaj Christon with 27 points.
