BLOOMINGTON, Ind., Jan. 4 (UPI) -- Gary Harris scored 26 points Saturday and No. 5 Michigan State racked up a sixth straight win with a 73-56 victory over Indiana.
Keith Appling scored 14 points and Branden Dawson added 13 with six rebounds for the Spartans (13-1, 2-0 Big Ten).
The triumph gave MSU momentum heading into its Tuesday home game against No. 3 Ohio State.
The Hoosiers (10-5, 0-2) got 17 points from leading scorer Yogi Ferrell in their straight loss to begin conference play. Will Sheehey scored 13 for Indiana, which lost at home to the Spartans for the first time in nearly four years.
