AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Adreian Payne pumped in 33 points and pulled down nine rebounds Saturday, powering fifth-ranked Michigan State over Texas 92-78.
Payne connected on 10-of-13 shots and Gary Harris provided 19 points with five assists for the Spartans (10-1), who used a tough defense to prevail in their first true road contest of the season.

Branden Dawson added 11 points and 10 rebounds for MSU, which won a third straight overall.
Cameron Ridley netted 17 points and Isaiah Taylor added 16 for the Longhorns (10-2).
