TUCSON, Dec. 7 (UPI) --
T.J. McConnell's well-rounded game of 13 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals Saturday boosted No. 2 Arizona over Nevada-Las Vegas 63-58.
Brandon Ashley also scored 13 points for the unbeaten Wildcats (9-0), who burnished their credentials for their first top ranking since 2003 in the wake of Michigan State's loss to North Carolina this week.
Kaleb Tarczewski and Nick Johnson added 12 points apiece for Arizona.
UNLV (3-4) was led by Bryce Dejean-Jones with 16 points.
Khem Birch chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds.
