COL BKB: Kansas State 79, Iowa State 70

MANHATTAN, Kan., Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Rodney McGruder's all-around game of 22 points, five rebounds and four steals Saturday powered 15th-ranked Kansas State's 79-70 victory over Iowa State.

Angel Rodriguez added 20 points and Thomas Gipson helped out with 16 for the Wildcats (19-4, 8-2 Big 12), who notched their fourth straight win and grabbed sole possession of the Big 12 Conference lead.

Martavious Irving provided some scoring punch off the Kansas State bench with 10 points.

Iowa State (16-7, 6-4) was led by Korie Lucious with 16 points.

Melvin Ejim (13 points, 11 rebounds) and Tyrus McGee (15 points) also reached double figures for the Cyclones.
