Steven Adams and J.J. Moore both scored eight points. The Pitt bench outscored the Orange reserves 31-3.

C.J. Fair led Syracuse with 20 points and Brandon Triche added 14.

Syracuse shot 36.7 percent from the field and made 3-of-14 shots from 3-point range.
