COL BKB: Creighton 74, California 64

BERKELEY, Calif., Dec. 16 (UPI) -- Doug McDermott fired in 34 points and hauled down nine rebounds Saturday in 13th-ranked Creighton's wire-to-wire 74-64 victory over California.

McDermott connected on 10-of-17 shots from the floor, including four 3-pointers, and hit all 10 of his free-throw attempts for the Bluejays (10-1), who racked up a fourth straight victory.

Gregory Echenique added a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds, while Jahenns Manigat supplied 11 points and six assists for Creighton.

Justin Cobbs accounted for 18 points, seven assists and six rebounds for the Golden Bears (6-3).
