COL BKB: North Carolina 87, Creighton 73

GREENSBORO, N.C., March 18 (UPI) -- Kendall Marshall's 18 points and 11 assists Sunday helped North Carolina to an 87-73 win over Creighton in the NCAA Tourney Midwest Region.

Harrison Barnes chipped in 17 points, and John Henson returned to the lineup following a sprained wrist and contributed 13 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks for the top-seeded Tar Heels (31-5).

With the dominating win, North Carolina reached the regional semifinals for the fifth time in six years.

Eighth-seeded Creighton (29-6) couldn't keep up with the Tar Heels despite 12 points from Gregory Echenique, as well as 10 apiece from Antoine Young and Josh Jones.
