COL BKB: Florida State 80, Clemson 72

TALLAHASSEE, Fla., March 4 (UPI) -- Michael Snaer drained five from beyond the arc en route to 23 points Sunday and No. 22 Florida State bested Clemson 80-72 in its regular season finale.

Snaer's 3-pointer with 3 minutes left in the first half capped a 17-6 Florida State run and the Seminoles (21-9, 12-4 ACC) went on to post a 49-33 lead at the break.

Bernard James recorded a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds while Xavier Gibson contributed 13 and eight for Florida State, which equaled a school record for best conference mark.

The Seminoles broke a two-game losing streak and will be seeded third in the upcoming ACC Tournament.

K.J. McDaniels netted 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds while Andre Young also donated 16 points for Clemson (16-14, 8-8).
