COL BKB: Tennessee 67, Florida 56

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Unranked Tennessee upended No. 14 Florida 67-56 Saturday with a balanced attack led by Kenny Hall's 13 points.

Hall came off the bench to pitch in with a winning effort that had four Tennessee (8-7, 1-0 SEC) players in double figures.

Trae Golden and Jeronne Maymon both had 12 points for the Volunteers and Jordan McRae tallied 10. Tennessee shot 51 percent from the field and 5-of-10 from 3-point range.

Erik Murphy and Kenny Boynton scored 13 points apiece to lead Florida (12-4, 0-1), which saw a two-game winning streak closed out. The Gators led the SEC coming into the game with an average of 85.4 points per game.

Tennessee led 33-29 at halftime and never trailed in the second, leading by as many as 16 points.
