CHICAGO, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- Syracuse's Kris Joseph netted 22 points Sunday and the top-ranked Orange stayed unbeaten with an 87-68 non-conference victory over DePaul.

Joseph also grabbed seven rebounds and C.J. Fair added 16 points on 6-for-6 shooting for the Orange (15-0, 2-0 Big East).

The Blue Demons (9-4, 0-1) saw their five-game winning streak snapped despite 23 points and eight rebounds from Cleveland Melvin.
